The project presents itself as a complex and ambitious challenge, involving all departments of the firm—structures, MEP systems, architecture, geotechnics, and electrical engineering—in a collaborative effort aimed at the redevelopment of a currently uninhabited property. Though now in a state of decay, the villa holds significant historical and landscape potential.

The objective is twofold: on one hand, to make the building safe, healthy, and compliant with current regulations by addressing compromised masonry, removing non-structural elements damaged by water infiltration and neglect, and designing spacious, functional, and light-filled interiors tailored to the owner’s tastes and needs.

On the other hand, the project extends to the restoration of the surrounding park and woodland, with targeted landscape and structural interventions aimed at enhancing the relationship between architecture and nature.

Villa Sanremo will thus return to being a vibrant, distinctive, and harmonious place, where contemporary living meets respect for historical and environmental heritage. A project of broad scope that reflects Sertec’s integrated and sensitive approach to the conservation of the built environment.
